I found this article on the App, written back in 2013.

— Owen Pritchard

How are recycled bottles turned into fabric?

The Making App.

RAMIE

My Ramie lesson took me back to youtube for a look at the traditional methods of weaving Mosi ( fine ramie).

UNESCO: Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity - 2011 URL: http://www.unesco.org/culture/ich/RL/00453 Description: Weaving of Mosi is a process involving harvesting, boiling and bleaching ramie plants, spinning yarn from the fibre, and weaving it on traditional looms. Weaving is transmitted in women-led family operations where mothers transmit techniques and skills to their daughters or daughters-in-law.
